DSCN3819Yoga in the Park offers a wonderful setting for maintaining and improving your physical and mental health. Yoga in the Park classes are free of charge and are led by certified yoga instructors in parks across the city. Please bring your own yoga mat to class.

Classes are held every Saturday in October at 9am

CorePower Yoga offers a truly unique yoga practice that’s accessible more than traditional. CorePower Yoga strengthens, balances, detoxifies and exhilarates the body and mind, and will have you moving, breathing and sweating. No matter your age, strength or flexibility level, this class will meet you where you are.

In Partnership with Green Bird Fitness

Classes are held on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 6pm in April and May, and at 6:30pm June through September. Classes will meet near the playground, adjacent to the main parking lot.

Green Bird Fitness specializes in training programs for clients of all ages and fitness levels, including pre and post-natal clients, and is proud to offer this all-level yoga class which will incorporate elements of yoga, pilates and instructor Lauren Whitehead’s extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

In Partnership with Yoga Yoga

Classes are held every Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. in September and October.

Yoga Yoga is proud to offer an all level Hatha Yoga class to participants at Yoga in the Park! Yoga Yoga is Austin’s home for traditional and advanced yoga studies, offering over 300 weekly classes at 5 Austin locations in everything from classic Hatha and Kundalini to Yoga for Health and Wellness.

In Partnership with  The Little Yoga House

Kids & Family classes are held the third Sunday of every month starting March through November. Class begins at 11am in spring and fall, and at 9:30am during June, July and August.

The Little Yoga House is a boutique children’s and family yoga school with a specific focus on healthy child development through yoga, music, dance and art.

Other Fitness Classes

fitness 1Mixed fitness classes are held at parks and recreation centers throughout the city, and are completely free of charge.  Classes are led by certified instructors and cover a range of fitness styles. See below for descriptions, locations and schedules.

Presented in partnership with WeViva and Austin Parks & Recreation Department, this total-body workout is a Latin-inspired cardio-dance workout that uses music and choreographed steps to form a fitness party atmosphere. Classes are FREE, and first-come, first-served.
