Yoga

DSCN3819Yoga in the Park offers a wonderful setting for maintaining and improving your physical and mental health. Yoga in the Park classes are free of charge and are led by certified yoga instructors in parks across the city. Please bring your own yoga mat to class.

All classes are subject to cancellation for weather, and park maintenance, so please check our calendarFacebook or Twitter feed for notifications about class cancellations.

Class Schedule

Classes are held every Friday at 9am

Presented in partnership with WeViva and Austin Parks & Recreation Department, come stretch, breathe and reach your fitness goals in this bilingual yoga class!

Classes are held every Monday at 10am

With the help of a chair anyone can practice yoga with the same benefits of increased circulation, balance, flexibility, mobility, and strength

In Partnership with  The Little Yoga House

Kids & Family classes are held the third Sunday of every month starting March through November (except for April & June when class is held the 2nd Sunday). Class begins at 11am in spring and fall, and at 9:30am during June, July and August.

The Little Yoga House is a boutique children’s and family yoga school with a specific focus on healthy child development through yoga, music, dance and art.

Other Fitness Classes

fitness 1Mixed fitness classes are held at parks and recreation centers throughout the city, and are completely free of charge.  Classes are led by certified instructors and cover a range of fitness styles. See below for descriptions, locations and schedules.

Classes are held every Monday and Wednesday at 8:00AM at the Tennis Courts.

Classes are held every Monday at 6:30pm

Presented in partnership with WeViva and Austin Parks & Recreation Department, this total-body workout is a Latin-inspired cardio-dance workout that uses music and choreographed steps to form a fitness party atmosphere. Classes are FREE, and first-come, first-served.

Classes are held every Friday at 10AM

Balance the body’s strength and flexibility while improving coordination, increasing blood circulation and agility in a fun and relaxed atmosphere

Classes are held every Monday and Wednesday at 6pm.

What is MixxedFit? MixxedFit is a dance fitness program that incorporates boot camp toning and explosive dance movements! Come and join the fun. Classes are FREE, and first-come, first-served.

Classes are held every Tuesday at 6PM

Need an exercise routine but don’t know where to start? Join us for walks and low impact workouts as we learn to get fit together

Classes are held every Monday at 11am
