Yoga in the Park
Yoga in the Park classes are free of charge and are led by certified yoga instructors in Republic Square Park, Wooldridge Square Park, Stacy Park and Dick Nichols District Park. Please bring your own yoga mat to class.
Republic Square Park
Classes are held every Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. in April, May, and September.
Yoga Yoga is proud to offer an all level Hatha Yoga class to participants at Yoga in the Park 2015! Yoga Yoga is Austin's home for traditional and advanced yoga studies, offering over 300 weekly classes at 5 Austin locations in everything from classic Hatha and Kundalini to Yoga for Health and Wellness.
Wooldridge Square Park
The Little Yoga House
Family classes are held the third Sunday of every month at 11 a.m. in spring and fall. Classes will be held at 9:30 a.m. during June, July, and August.
The Little Yoga House is a boutique children’s and family yoga school with a specific focus on healthy child development through yoga, music, dance, and art.
Yoga with Karlie Lemos and Dana Makover
Classes are held year round on the last Saturday of the month from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Classes will be held under the shade trees near the fitness area near the pullup bars.
Join Karlie and Dana for a fun and revitalizing practice that is appropriate for all levels including hatha basics and elements of vinysasa.
NEW! Dick Nichols District Park
Green Bird Fitness
Classes are held year-round on the first and third Tuesday of the month starting July 7, 2015 at 6:30pm. Classes will meet near the playground, adjacent to the main parking lot.
Green Bird Fitness specializes in training programs for clients of all ages and fitness levels including pre and post-natal clients, and is proud to offer this all-level yoga class which will incorporate elements of yoga, pilates and instructor Lauren Whitehead's extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
NEW! Hostelling International Park
Classes will be held year-round on the first and third Friday of the month starting July 3, 2015 at 11am. We'll meet in the backyard of Hostelling International, near the water and the hike and bike trail.
Instructor, Nathan Millard, focuses on balancing breath with movement and clarifying alignment. His classes cultivate a space for students to develop strength, clarify intention, and connect deeply to the energy centers (chakras) within the body. Enlightened Yoga will offer this all-level practice in partnership with Hostelling International.
