Services for Park Volunteers
APF provides the tools to let citizens participate in the maintenance and revitalization of parks. Services include Adopt-A-Park assistance, Grants large and small, Fiduciary Services, and the Tool Trailer.
We also provide technical consultation to assist with fundraising, volunteer raising, project logistics, and more.
Adopt-a-Park
This program of Austin Parks and Recreation creates an official link between a community group and their park. Become the official stewards of your park and establish a relationship with the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department (PARD). Call us and we'll help you set up a meeting with PARD. Visit our Adopt-A-Park page for more information.
Hosting a Volunteer Day
When you are ready to have a volunteer work day, let us know and we'll post the information on our volunteer page. We can also link you with larger groups of volunteers if you can use a lot of hands.
It's My Park! Tool Trailer
Be sure to borrow our trailer full of tools. Check out the complete list of tools available here. Call and make a reservation for the day/days you need it.
Grants for Park Projects
When you've established a record as a volunteer group, you might come up with some more ambitious plans for your park. Check out our Grants programs for help with funding your vision.
Fiduciary Services
Manage your park fundraising without opening a bank account or applying for IRS 501(c)3 non-profit designation by using Austin Parks Foundation as your charitable umbrella. Read more about our Fiduciary Services here.
