Zilker Metropolitan Park is Austin's premier park. It is located along the shores of Lady Bird Lake, with beautiful Barton Springs running through the center. From fine art to hiking trails, swimming to environmental education, this park has it all.

There are active volunteer organizations supporting many of the park's features. Friends of Barton Springs Pool is one of the newest such groups. A portion of Zilker is off-leash.
