Barton Creek Trail Corp

In September 2010, the Austin Parks Foundation, in collaboration with the Hill Country Conservancy, American Youthworks Environmental Corps, the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department and a host of volunteer groups began a large-scale initiative to restore the Barton Creek Greenbelt Trail and surrounding landscape.

Thanks to a grant from Impact Austin, along with funding from Austin Parks Foundation, the Hill Country Conservancy, Bicycle Sports Shop, REI, and individual donors, in 2010-11 we implemented a series of improvments along the eight-mile main trail of Barton Creek Greenbelt from Zilker Park to Camp Craft Road totaling over $200,000.

If you would like to get involved in our ongoing efforts at Barton Creek Greenbelt, please email us at volunteer@austinparks.org.
