Dottie Jordan Park has recently been adopted by neighbors, and major improvements are already visible! Work has begun to clear the creek banks of brush and trash, extend the walking trail, and add more tables and benches to the park.

Description: Oakwood was established in 1839. Covering 40 acres with 23,000+ burials, including two Jewish sections, it receives approximately 40 burials annually.

If you don't have a digital camera, come along anyway and we'll pair you up with a camera-toting volunteer. At the end of the session, we'll download your fabulous digital pics onto a laptop to be archived. For October 09, meet at Oakwood Cemetery in the Old Grounds in Section 1.
