Emma Long Metropolitan Park

Set within an oak and juniper forest bordering Lake Austin, Emma Long is one the largest parks in Austin. The main part of the park, adjacent to the lake, features a well-equipped and well-used boat dock, as well as several swimming areas.

Description: Set within an oak and juniper forest bordering Lake Austin, Emma Long is one the largest parks in Austin. The main part of the park, adjacent to the lake, features a well-equipped and well-used boat dock, as well as several swimming areas.
This area has become a favorite cooling-off spot during the summer, attracting large crowds despite the $8 admission charge. There are extensive facilities for both RV camping and tents.A second popular area within Emma Long Park--one that has no admission fee--is the off-leash trail along Turkey Creek.
