Description: Set within an oak and juniper forest bordering Lake Austin, Emma Long is one the largest parks in Austin. The main part of the park, adjacent to the lake, features a well-equipped and well-used boat dock, as well as several swimming areas.
This area has become a favorite cooling-off spot during the summer, attracting large crowds despite the $8 admission charge. There are extensive facilities for both RV camping and tents.A second popular area within Emma Long Park--one that has no admission fee--is the off-leash trail along Turkey Creek.
