Cook Playground

The Cook playground is slated for replacement in 2010. Neighbors interested in helping with design or fund raising for additional amenities should contact Austin Parks Foundation.

Symphony Square

Symphony Square consists of a picturesque outdoor theater, including a museum, with bordering restaurant and bar. On summer evenings a variety of local artists perform, usually musicians, to enthusiastic family audiences.

Schroeter Park
11701 Big Trail

Schroeter features a large wildflower area in the spring. Neighbors have installed solar trail lights on the short wooded trail, and conduct regular cleanup events.

Description: The Lamar Beach section of the Town Lake hike and bike trail is best known for its pedestrian bridge, whose novel design is anything but pedestrian. The bridge has benches and plantings, and is a great place to watch the sunset.

The western part of Lamar Beach has spectacular fields of spring and summer wildflowers.
