Description: The Great Hills Park Committee was formed in 1993 as a grassroots effort to bring a park to the Great Hills area. Since then, the group has worked hard to build trails, add a playground, and more.
In 2007, the group raised funds to install a picnic shelter. Work was completed in September, 2007.August 2007 - Pavilion Update. Progress on constructing the 20x30 foot pavilion, funded by individual donors and a grant from Austin Parks Foundation continues with the slab now poured (Aug 16) and work progressing on the connecting sidewalk. Once the slab is cured (usually about 2 weeks), the pavilion will be assembled in place.
